2018 Sandburg writer-in-residence: Carlene Kucharczyk

Carlene grew up in Connecticut but has been in North Carolina since 2012. She has an MFA from NC State and has also subsequently taught a variety of classes at NCSU Raleigh.  She is currently a freelance editor.  Writing awards include Pushcart Prize Nominee, Thoreau Fellowship at Vermont Studio Center, and several poetry contests.  She has been published through the Altanta Review, Permafrost, Tupelo Quarterly, Tupelo Press and Connecticut River Review.
